Being A Competitor

From a young age, my involvement in football, basketball, soccer, and baseball instilled a drive in me to give it my all when a chance to win or lose is on the line. In 8th grade, I began boxing with one of my friends from school at a local gym, mainly in an effort to lose weight and get in better shape. I did not think that 6 years later I'd be training with Florida State University's Fight Team. I now train at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn, NY and am preparing for my third amateur fight.

Sparring

What does training look like?

Boxing workouts are designed by me for me on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays with multiple sparring sessions included. Wednesdays and Fridays include mile long swims and weight training for chest, back, and legs. Weekends are more relaxed and usually involve a 5k, more weight training for less critical muscle groups (#armday), and hopefully some relaxation.
